Mark W. Oaks

He was born in Moline IL to Reverend William and Marilyn Oaks on March 31, 1954. He is proceeded in death by his father. He is survived by wife Lori Oaks of Auburn, daughters Mindy (Kevin) Gade of Rochester, Krista (Edwin) Oaks-Yambo of Springfield, Abigail (Michael) Morgan of St Louis, MO., grandchildren: Tyler, Brett, and Reece Gade, Kalisse and Brenna Oaks, CJ Yambo and Eli Morgan, mother Marilyn Oaks of Sherman, brothers John(Jan) Oaks of Sherman, Fred (Judy) Oaks of Nashotah, WI and sister Sarah Oaks of Chicago, and several nephews and nieces.

Mark was an All-City baseball and football player for Springfield High School in 1972. Mark retired from the State of Illinois and enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially his grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at Elliott Avenue Baptist Church, 501 West Elliott Street, on Sunday May 22, 2015 at 4:00pm. The family will meet friends from 2:00pm until the time of service Sunday at church.
