Marlene Lynn Jordan, 61, of Springfield, passed away at 5:55 a.m. on Monday, June 27, 2016 at St. John's Hospice. Marlene was born on June 1, 1955 in Springfield, the daughter of James Raymond and Pauline Rodgers Davis. Marlene was employed from 1994-2016 as a receptionist at Capitol Healthcare. She was sweet, caring, and enjoyed spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Bob and Bill Davis; three sisters, Sue Harlan, Sharon Meeks, and Juanita Waltermath; as well as David W. Jordan, Sr. and Phillip A. Jordan. She is survived by her sons, David W. Jr. and Eric S. Jordan, both of Springfield; three daughters, Jodi L. Jordan of Springfield, Shelley R. (husband, Jordan) Dunlevy of Virden, and Shelba J. (husband, Jeremy) Fox of Petersburg; sixteen grandchildren; six siblings, Kathy (husband, Rich) Goodwin, Alice Hall, Roger (wife, Linda) Davis, Chuck (wife, Shirley) Davis, and Gene and Larry Davis; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Cremation will be accorded by Butler Cremation Tribute Center prior to ceremonies. Memorial Ceremony: 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. Burial will follow at Old Salem Cemetery.
