She was preceded in death by her grandson Makato Steven Taniguchi; brothers, John Bennett and Clyde Bennett; and her parents, Amon and Mae Bennett. She is survived by two daughters, Joyce (Nori) Taniguchi of Japan, Shirley (Charles) Witherell of Jackson; and four grandchildren, Kae Taniguchi, Heather Witherell, Robin Webster, Laura Witherell; three great-grandchildren, Gideon Webster, Orion Webster, Reina Fukahori; brothers, Bob (Patti)Bennett of Indiana, Joe (Helen) Bennett of Springfield, IL; sister, Barbara Black of Phoenix, AZ; sister-in-law, Esther Bennett of Loami, IL.
Funeral services will be held at the First United Methodist Church of Jackson on Monday, January 12, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Edward Ross officiating.
Interment will take place at Sulphur Springs Cemetery in Loami, Illinois.
