Mary Meneghetti Riddle

Mary Meneghetti Riddle, 85, of Springfield, died at 7:13 a.m. on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at Heritage Manor. Mary was born April 30, 1927 in Springfield, the daughter of Joseph Martin and Rose Cecilia Wilson Eddington. She married Joseph Meneghetti in 1947. She married Lester P. Riddle in 1998. They both preceded her in death. Mary was a member of St. Cabrini Catholic Church and a former member of the Home Extension. She was devoted to her family, and loved her grandchildren. She enjoyed her bingo ladies, blackberry picking in her big floppy hats, and raising her canaries. She was also a talented painter and artist, who greatly appreciated all things in nature. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Joseph and Thomas Eddington; and a sister, Rose Blakley. She is survived by two sons: Joe (wife, Brenda) Meneghetti of Springfield and Jerry (wife, Kelly) Meneghetti of Rochester; three daughters: Nora Meneghetti-O'Hara of Mechanicsburg, Marie Bormida and Carol (husband, Bob) Jessup both of Springfield; nine grandchildren: Ronnie Bormida, Christina Bormida, Danny Steven IV, Devin Callarman, Toby Meneghetti, Cheyenne Meneghetti, Raleigh Meneghetti, Ruthanne Wyzard and Candace England; five great-grandchildren: Abbigail, Hannah, Brandi, Natalie, and Brendan; and four great-great-grandchildren; two brothers: James (companion Terry) Eddington and Bill (Ann) Eddington, both of Springfield; and four sisters: Eileen Drendel of Springfield, Pat (George) Fleck of Sherman, Sr. Mary Trinita of Jackson, MS, and Judy (Ron) Blakley of Chatham. Visitation: Family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 25, 2013 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. Visitation will end with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass: 9:30 a.m. on Friday, April 26, 2013 at St. Cabrini Catholic Church, 1020 N. Milton, Springfield with Rev.
