Mary Ann Stevens, 85, of Springfield, died at 12:05 p.m. Friday, September 19, 2003 at St. Joseph Hospital, Kirkwood, MO. Mary Ann was born September 24, 1917 in Springfield, the daughter of William and Christina Barasavage Mikalauskas. She married Charles Harold Stevens; he preceded her in death in 1942. Mrs. Stevens was employed by Sangamo Electric retiring in 1962 after 32 years of Service. She was a member of the American Business Women’s Club and St. Agnes Catholic Church. She was also preceded in death her parents, one brother, William Rice and three sisters, Martha Bender, Alice Kava and Julia Lichtenberger. She is survived by one daughter: Julia Ann Stevens of Valley Park, MO; one sister: Anna Williamson of Springfield and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home from 4-7:00 p.m. Monday, September 22, 2003. Visitation will begin with a prayer service at 4:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 23, 2003 at St. Agnes Catholic Church with Rev. Msgr. Patrick J. Wright V.F. celebrant.
