Mary Jane Talbott, 90 of Springfield, formerly of Berlin, died at 11:55 p.m. on Sunday, October 16, 2005 at St. John’s Hospital North. Mary was born on June 30, 1915 at the family farm in Berlin, IL the daughter of John W. Jr. and Doyle Hammond Scott. She married Lester Talbott; he preceded her in death in 1984. She attended Springfield High School and went on to work for Sangamon Electric and later worked for Ackerman Music Company in Springfield and other various music companies in Southern Illinois. She was a member of Elm Street Christian Church. She was also preceded in death by her parents and three sisters: Grace Clark, Martha Scott and Maxine H. Hargis and one brother: Leslie Scott. She is survived by one sister: Margaret Fitch of Springfield and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 19, 2005 at Berlin Cemetery, Berlin, IL with Reverend Paul Cox officiating.
