Mary C. White, 97, of Springfield, died at 5:51 p.m. on Thursday, October 21, 2010 at Brenden Gardens. Mary was born June 27, 1913 in Barclay, the daughter of Anthony and Anna Zagar Copp. She married Leon H. White, he preceded her in death. Mary attended St. Joseph Grade School and Ursuline Academy and then spent the majority of her life as a housewife. She was a spiritual woman who attended St. Joseph Catholic Church. She enjoyed arts and crafts and traveling. She was also preceded in death by her parents; son, Joseph L. White; six brothers; and two sisters. She is survived by her daughter, Dolores (Lee) Nuccio of Minneapolis, MN; two grandchildren, Christopher (Michele) Nuccio of Birmingham, AL and Nancy (Jon) Hill of Minneapolis, MN; five great-grandchildren, Chynna, Noah, Basil, Maxwell, and Jackson; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends. Family will receive friends from 10:00 10:45 a.m. on Tuesday, October 26, 2010 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1345 N. 6th St., Springfield. A Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Msgr. Thomas P. Holinga, V.F., celebrant. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph School, 1344 N. 5th St., Springfield, IL 62702.
