Matthew A. Riddley, 27, of Chatham, passed away August 11, 2013. He was born on January 23, 1986 to Robert and Karen Cook Riddley. Matt graduated from Glenwood High School in 2004 and had been on their football team all four years as a right guard; lettering in football and was all conference. He was a server in several restaurants, including O�Charlie�s, Fat Willey�s, and Mario�s. Matt was very musically talented, and played guitar, sax, mandolin and was learning banjo. He and his friends played at The Alamo and Fat Willey�s in Chatham. He was of the Baptist faith. He will be greatly missed by his parents, Robert �Al� (Lynn C.) Riddley of Springfield and Karen Riddley of Chatham; sisters, Nicole and Stephanie (companion Tannor Baker) all of Chatham; grandfather, Woody (Carol) Cook of Gas City, Indiana; nieces and nephews, Noah and Mia Phillips, and Layla and Olivia Riddley; several aunts, uncles and cousins. Visitation: 4-7pm, Thursday, August 15, at Staab Polk Memorial Home, 8855 State Route 4, Chatham. Funeral 10:30am, Friday, August 16, at Staab Polk Memorial Home, Chatham, with Rev. Jerry Webber officiating. Cremation rites will be accorded after services by Cremation Services of Central lllinois. Memorial contributions may be made to the Matthew Riddley Music Scholarship.
