Maureen Teresa Sullivan

Maureen Teresa Sullivan, 69, of Springfield, passed away on December 6, 2025, at Springfield Memorial Hospital surrounded by her family. She was born October 8, 1956, in Chicago to William Sullivan and Teresa McInerney Sullivan.

Maureen treasured the simple joys in life and was happiest when surrounded by family. She loved baking, tending to her garden, and cheering on the Chicago Bears while listening to her favorite band, Led Zeppelin. A loving mother and proud grandmother, she created countless memories that will be cherished forever.

She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer (Mike) Coady of Sherman; two sons, Donald Foster of Springfield and Sean (Amber) Young of Fayetteville, N.C.; and seven grandchildren: Jade and Damon Coady, Olivia Foster, and Sean, Cayden, Isabelle, and Audree Young. She also leaves behind five siblings: Ann Seymour, Michael Sullivan, Patricia Sullivan, Margaret Campbell, and Nora Moreland.

A memorial Mass will be held at 10:00am on December 15, 2025 at the Catholic Church of the Little Flower, 800 Adlai Stevenson Drive in Springfield. The family will greet friends from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 14, 2025, at Bisch and Son Funeral Home, 505 East Allen Street in Springfield.

Maureen will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
