He was born on April 23, 1944, in Danville, IL, to Edward L. and Margaret Tracy LaTourelle. Mike married Susan E. Black in Danville on August 26, 1972.
Mike graduated from Danville Schlarman High School and proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He then earned his associate’s degree from Danville Area Community College and went on to work as a carpenter in the construction industry. Mike enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father; mother and her husband, George F. O’Brien; sister, Jolie Ann LaTourelle-Jones; grandparents; and Susan’s parents, Earl and Ruth Black.
Mike is survived by his wife, Susan Latourelle; brothers, E. Louis (Nancy) LaTourelle and George T. (Bobbi) O’Brien; Susan’s siblings and their spouses; and several beloved nieces and nephews.
Cremation rites will be accorded. A private family service will be held. Inurnment will take place at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
