

Mike was born on January 23, 1954 in Bremen, Germany, the son of Robert A. and Irmgard Maiwald Hanselman. Mike’s mother later married Manford Clayton. Together, they raised Mike and his siblings.
Mike married Leigh Ann Corrigan on April 19, 1974 in Springfield; she preceded him in death on July 18, 2014.
He was a graduate of Griffin High School. He was employed by CWLP for 37 years and spent 35 years as a lineman for IBEW Local #193. Mike was a member of the Apprentice Training Committee for many years. He was a member of the Little Flower Men’s Club. Mike enjoyed rooting for the Green Bay Packers and the St. Louis Cardinals, enjoyed their swimming pool, and spending time with his grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Robert and Frank Hanselman; and one sister, Karen Hanselman.
He is survived by his son, Aaron (wife, Danielle) Hanselman; his daughter, Bree Hanselman; three grandchildren, Eric (fiancée, Ximena Morales), Austin, and Ella Hanselman; sisters-in-law, Beth Hanselman, Candace Powers, and Caroline Fitzsimmons; brother-in-law, Michael (wife, Missy) Corrigan; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Cremation will be provided by Butler Cremation Tribute Center prior to ceremonies.
Funeral Mass: 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 13, 2021 at Church of the Little Flower, 800 Adlai Stevenson Dr., Springfield with Rev. Allen Kemme, celebrant. Due to COVID restrictions there will be limited capacity.
