Michael was born on October 6, 1960, the son of Everett and Dorothy Pierce.
Michael was honored to have served his country in the 82nd Airborne Unit of the United States Army.
He proudly carried on the family business as the owner and operator of National Tree Care.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Daniel Pierce. He passed away alongside his son, Michael Pierce, Jr. of Gonzales, Louisiana.
He is survived by his wife, Tina Pierce of Springfield; two sons, Marshal (wife, Jennifer) Pierce of Springfield; Matthew (wife, Cassandra) Pierce of San Francisco, CA; one daughter, Macy Pierce of Springfield; six grandchildren, Tristan Blacklock, Peyton, Hailey, Brooke, Blakleigh, and Brody Pierce; one sister, Nancy (husband, Jody) Tetu of Bradley, CA.
Cremation was provided prior to ceremonies.
Memorial Ceremony: 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 21, 2019 at Butler Funeral Home-Chatham, 8855 State Rt., 4, Chatham with Pastor Brian Wilmarth officiating. Military honors will be provided by the Department of Defense.
Celebration of Life: Family will receive friends from 3:30 until 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 21, 2019 at Prairie View Reception Center, 8865 State Rt., 4, Chatham.
