Mike, enjoyed working with you. So sorry for the loss of your mother. Reading her obituary, she had a great live.

Mike, the obituary reveals you had a wonderful vibrant mother. She would have been a joy to have met. My sympathies to you and all your family.

To the family of Michele Dunbar, Aden and I met Michele shortly after she moved into Lewis. We invited her to sit with us at dinner one night. Afterward she embarrassed us by telling anyone who would listen that we were the only ones who were nice to her although this was something far from the truth. Aden and I were both attracted to her unique personality. She was at once complaining about all sorts of things; first one thing and then another then another. She was mad at the world that put her in her condition. She was mad at herself that she ruined her health and had to put up with the consequences. She wanted to be out and about even if it was just to be outside the building. It was like a comedy routine. Then she would change the subject and tell the most delightful stories that made us laugh. She was always losing something like her glasses or her teeth or a paper or magazine. Many times we would find the item in her bag or tucked in her wheelchair or under her plate on the table. She would tell us wonderful stories of her father who had been an architect in Pennsylvania and her granddaughter who is an architect in California. Since Aden was an architect he reveled in those stories. She would tell us about the latest commission Michael had won and the travel to install his latest sculpture. She would tell us about Ric and Sue’s adventures in retirement. She told us the story of Patty and Tom’s motorcycle trip to New York City. And this is just the tip of the iceberg. Your family became a part of us like a family in a novel becomes part of your own life story. I loved the stories she would tell of her adventures throughout her exciting life. I especially remember the tale of coming home once to find a llama in her garage. She seemed to attract the unusual and unexpected events that pass by most of us. She was very proud of her family and loved you all fiercely. I often wondered if she let you all know how much she cared. Somehow I doubt that she was able to convey her true feelings to those closest to her.  Aden died last October and I found that I just couldn’t visit Lewis any more. Since then I haven’t seen Michele and I have missed her. You can be sure that I will pray for her as I pray for Aden.  With sympathy, Mary Lou Lauchner

Of course I'll miss Michele! I've known here since the early 1970's and heard every story at least once! We worked together; played together; met each other's families; solved the worlds problems together and laughed until we cried, many, many times. She was a warm hearted fun loving friend that I'll never forget.

So sorry for your loss. I had many great times at the Dunbar house on Lenox Street. And so miss my best friend Pam. I know Michele is on a new adventure and will be joining Pam and watching over us. Oh yes and I so remember my overnight stays with Cream Cheese and peanut butter the only thing for breakfast. Lots of laughs, may you remember those great times. Love and Prayers

Heartfelt sympathy, caring thoughts, prayers. When visiting my mom at Lewis Memorial Christian Village, Michele was a joy, a day brightened, and a caring woman with personality plus. Wishing the family: a song in your hearts; sunshine after the clouds; a rainbow after the rain; peace; faith; cherished memories.

My deepest condolences to the family and friends of Michele. When we lose a loved one in death it brings nothing but pain grief and sorrow that's because God never planned for us to die. Very soon he will commission his son Jesus Christ to bring the Last Enemy death to nothing 1st Corinthians 15:26. Jesus Christ will resurrect the loved ones we have lost in death back to life John 5:28,29 he will do this on a brand new Paradise Earth under his kingdom rule no more sickness pain or death Life Without End Revelation 21:1-5.
