Milton O. Hamilton, 76, of Springfield died at 6:01 p.m. Saturday, December 22, 2007 at St. John’s Hospital. Milton was born on January 24, 1931 in Louisville, KY the son of Owen Ford and Cola Mae Lamb Hamilton, who have both preceded him in death.. He married June Maynard on December 31, 1948, she died on June 25, 1990. Milton then married Waneta Hartley on September 2, 1992, and she preceded him in death on March 19, 1999. He loved to travel and enjoyed growing roses in his younger days. He enjoyed bowling at Strike & Spare East and West. Milton is also preceded in death by four of his children; a grandchild; and a son-in-law. He is survived by one daughter: Lisa Sue (husband Larry) West of Champaign, IL; one step-daughter: Marie McLean of Springfield; one brother: David Hamilton; one sister: Ruth Kresel of Minneapolis, MN; twenty-four grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; two nieces; and two nephews. Cremation will be accorded by Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home and Cremation Tribute Center, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield following the funeral ceremony. Graveside ceremonies are pending with Rev. T.
