Misty Dawn Steffen

Misty was born on August 23, 1974 in Randlett, OK, the daughter of Stanley Don Josefy and Vickie Carlene Henry. She married Stephen Lee Romack II in 1995 and together they had a daughter, Kayla, and then later divorced. Misty then married John Steffen and then they divorced in 2010.

Misty was a 1992 graduate of Randlett High School in Oklahoma. She moved to Springfield in 1996. Misty held several administrative positions with Memorial Medical Center, Springfield Clinic, and Blue Cross/Blue Shield. She was a former member of the Blue Ridge Club and enjoyed spending time with her friends and family.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Douglas Duren; and her parents.

Misty is survived by her daughter, Kayla Romack of Silex, MO; grandmother, Mary Jo Duren of OK; two siblings, Coby Josefy and Tracie Hankins, both of OK; aunt, Teresa Burney of TX; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Cremation will be provided by Butler Cremation Tribute Center.

A Celebration of Life will be planned at a later date.

The family is being served by Boardman-Smith Funeral Home, 800 S. Grand Ave. West, Springfield.
