

He was born on March 14, 1995, in Springfield the son of Ken Wickham and Kelly Wickham-Hurst.
Morgan worked as a technician for Prairie State Gaming. He loved all things Star Wars, Anime, video gaming, entertaining his nieces and playing games with and enjoying his loving family. Morgan was a compassionate person who was a friend to all and never knew a stranger. His sense of humor made him beloved in his family and he was surrounded with laughter that he both created and sometimes encouraged. In life, Morgan was a regular blood donor and, in his passing, Morgan continued his generosity as an organ and tissue donor through Gift of Hope.
Morgan is survived by his parents, Ken and Maria Wickham and Kelly and Russell Hurst, all of Springfield; his sisters, Mallory (Kolin) O’Brien of Springfield and Caitlin (Scott) Benson of Alhambra, CA; his brother Mason (fiancée Rachel) Wickham of Springfield; his step-brothers Grant (Kaylea) Hurst of Republic, MO and Cole Hurst of Lake of the Ozarks, MO; his step-sisters Katie (Matt) Saladino and Angela (Jadyn) Kruger, both of Springfield; his grandmother Patricia Fletcher; his grandfathers Melvin Fletcher and Zane Wickham; his aunts, Erin Fletcher, Tracy Fletcher, C.J. Wickham and Awana Reese. His uncles Gale Wickham and Zane Wickham; his nieces, Maggie O’Brien, Stella O’Brien, Ellie Benson; his nephews, Owen Benson, Luka Saladino, and Kolton Wayne Burton; and his cousins, Ashley Jamison, Kenneth Jamison, Ariana Fletcher, Kamaal Jones, Grace Wickham, Faith Wickham, Holly Tucker, Samuel Reese, Charlie Reese, Adam Reese, Zack Reese, and Sandy Hirayama.
He was preceded in death by a great grandmother, Marguerite Sullivan, a grandmother Sandi Wickham, and a cousin, Kyle Jamison.
Arrangements are under the direction of Bisch and Son Funeral Home, Springfield. A memorial service will be held on Monday, March 7, 2022, at 1 PM at 1st Presbyterian Church, 321 S. 7th St., Springfield and a memorial visitation will also be held at the church after the service until 4 PM. The family has requested that there be no formal receiving line during the visitation. Please dress comfortably. Dress attire is not required, but Morgan would be thrilled if you would wear anything related to Star Wars.
Due to his great love of video games, we wish to honor his memory and hope you would be willing to make donations in Morgan’s name to Child’s Play at www.childsplaycharity.org, an organization that encourages the power of play through therapy and gaming for children as they partner with hospitals and shelters. Morgan would be delighted to see this happen.

Arrangements have been made to allow for deck parking on the Lincoln Library garage, street parking along 7th Street, the bus lot for the Lincoln Home right next to Grace Lutheran Church on 7th St. and the outer edge parking spaces of the Grace Lutheran Church parking lot accross Capitol Ave from 1st Presbyterian Church.
