Nancy McCandless, 94, of Springfield, passed away on November 26, 2025 at The Grove in Jacksonville. She was born on March 5, 1931 in Springfield to John T. Richardson and Marie Grubb Richardson. She married William R. McCandless on July 2, 1952 in Springfield and he preceded her in death on December 24, 2006.
Mrs. McCandless is survived by five children: Robert McCandless, William R. McCandless Jr., Kathy Hennings, Charles McCandless and John McCandless and seven grandchildren.
A graveside service was held on Friday December 12, 2025 at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
