

Nancy was born on February 24, 1930, in Springfield, the daughter of Frank J. and Flossie F. Easeley Bennett. She married Bernard E. Ryan on November 17, 1951, in Springfield; he preceded her in death on August 20, 1995.
Nancy was a 1948 graduate of Feitshans High School. She retired as a draftsman from Illinois Bell/AT&T after 31 years of service. Nancy was a loving mother and sister. She was full of laughter and love. Nancy enjoyed cards, canasta, and had been playing bunco with the same group of friends for over 60 years.
She was also preceded in death by her son, Patrick Ryan; daughter, Kathleen Crowder; grandson, Frank Ryan; granddaughter, Heather Stroh; great-grandson, Drew Ryan; and brothers, Jeff Bennett and Marshall Gilbert.
She is survived by five children, Colleen (husband, Chris) Stroh of CA, Richard “Rick” (wife, Sharlett) Ryan of Springfield, Madonna (husband, Dominic “Mick”) Palazzolo of Springfield, Michael (wife, Christina) Ryan of Springfield, and Lisa (husband, Mark) McClure of Springfield; one sister, Judith Johnson of Rochester; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation and Funeral Mass: Family will receive friends from 10:30 until 11:15 a.m. on Friday, November 19, 2021 at St. James Catholic Church, 112 N. 6th St., Riverton. A Funeral Mass will follow at 11:30 a.m. with Rev. George Nellikunnel, S.A.C., celebrant.
Cremation will be provided by Butler Cremation Tribute Center following ceremonies.
Private family burial will be held at Roselawn Memorial Park.
