Nathaniel Nate Thomas Cornell

He was born on September 27, 1981 in Elk Grove Village, IL, the son of Phil Cornell and Marie (Cavataio) Brest.

Nate worked as a custodian for Pleasant Plains High School. He was a die-hard Bears fan and an awesome karaoke singer.

He is survived by his mother, Marie Brest of Springfield; his father Phil (wife Mary) Cornell of Athens, IL; a brother Philip Cornell II; 2 sisters, Jacqueline Cornell and Nicole Cornell, both of Springfield; his paternal grandparents, Jerry and Cindy Cornell of Elburn, IL; a nephew Lane Cornell; 2 nieces, Abigail and Journee Cornell, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Agnes and Thomas Cavataio.

Services are under the direction of Bisch and Son Funeral Home, 505 E. Allen, Springfield where visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 28, 2012 from 4 to 8 pm. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 29, 2012 at 10:00 am at the funeral home, with Father Stephen Thompson officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Springfield.
