

.The family of Neva L. Cole Keith invites friends and family to a celebration of her life at Westminster Presbyterian Church 533 S. Walnut St. Springfield, IL on Monday, June 20, 2016 at 11:30 am. Rev. Hannah Dreitcer will officiate. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Springfield. Visitation will be from 9:30 until the time of service in the Parish Hall of Westminster Presbyterian Church.
Neva passed away at 3:15 am Friday June 10, 2016 at St. John’s Hospital. She was born in Neoga, IL July 16, 1922 the daughter of Benjamin H. and Sarah M. (Price) Cole. She married Clyde Keith in 1944 and he preceded her in death Dec. 23, 1982. Neva was also preceded in death by her beloved grandson, Byron Jones in 2002, her twin brother, Neal Cole and her sister, Letha Theesfeld.
She is survived by her daughter, Sheila (Ron) Jones, her granddaughter, Melissa (Jeff) Black and her great grandson, Charles “Charlie” Black, all of Buffalo, IL.
Neva had a passion for style and fashion. She worked in the ladies dress department of Sears and Roebuck for many years retiring in 1982. She continued her service to others in retirement serving as an usher at Sangamon Auditorium, as a Samaritan in the gift shop at St. John’s Hospital, provided respite care to several friends and extended family members and served on the Retired Service Volunteer Program. She was an active and devoted member of Westminster Presbyterian Church and the Ruth Circle. An avid bridge player, she was a member of numerous bridge groups.
