The exciting moments of pregnancy have turned to sorrow and heartfelt loss with the death of our son, Noah James Zerkle on February 14, 2018, at St. Johns Childrens Hospital. His death has left us in confusion and grief. We acknowledge the loss of his life that we were growing to love and the end of a journey that hardly had a chance to begin in the 24 weeks of his gestation. We lament the absence of a relationship that we were looking forward to reaffirming on his day of birth. We honor the value he brought to our lives, making us parents, filling us full of hopes, dreams and unbelievable joy. We have faith that we will see Noah James again and will always keep him in our hearts as we experience coming to terms with a side of life that we did not expect to encounter. Noah, your wings were ready, but our hearts were not. He leaves behind his loving family who will always treasure him: parents, Adam and Karen Zerkle of Rochester; grandparents, James and Carol Zerkle of Springfield, and Ralph and Tina Anderson of Rochester; great grandparents, Loretta M. Tvrdy of Elk Grove Village, Mary Lou Maxwell of Penrose, Colorado, Dolores Looker of Springfield, Thelma Anderson of Auburn, and Dale (Jody) Schofield of Springfield; aunts and uncles, John (Maureen) Zerkle, Michael Zerkle, Brian (Meredith) Anderson and Michelle Cox, along with cousins, other loving family and many friends. In lieu of gifts or flowers we would appreciate a donation in his honor to be made to Springfield Angel of Hope, NFP, P.O. Box 9714, Springfield, IL, 62791. This will help other parents honor their children who have departed all too soon. Private family services and blessing have been accorded.
