Norma Jean Davis, 90, of Springfield, passed away on January 3, 2023 at the Villas of Hollybrook. She was born on May 1, 1932 in Williamsville, Illinois to David F. Armes and Helen A. (Farris) Armes. Norma married Ira E. Davis on May 27, 1952 and he preceded her in death on February 5, 1986.
Mrs. Davis is survived by two sisters: Margie Easley of Salem and Birdie Lou Johnson of Riverton, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Claude and Mary Davis of Petersburg, sister-in-law Mary Lee Davis of Springfield and several nieces and nephews.
Norma worked for Franklin Life Insurance Company for forty six years. After retiring from Franklin Life she worked for the Illinois State Police through a temporary service agency for eight years and she volunteered at the Sherman Public Library from 2004-2015.
Cremation rites were accorded and an inurnment took place at Oak Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and condolences may be left at www.bischfuneralhomewest.com.
