She was born Nov. 20, 1924 in Beardstown, the daughter of Stanley and Leona Henman Rawlings. She married Howard Hart on Feb. 14, 1946. He preceded her in death in 1979.
Mrs. Hart and her husband were founders of Springfield Overhead Doors, which is still owned by the family. She was a member of Douglas Ave. United Methodist Church, Women in Construction, Zonta, and Land of Lincoln Power Squadron. She was also an honorary lifetime member of the Springfield Ski and Boat Club.
She is survived by a son, Randy (wife Ellen) Hart of Petersburg; three grandchildren, Aaron (Janelle) Hart of Peoria, Pam Hart of Valparaiso, IN, and Tam Hart of Tulsa, OK.
Visitation will be Wednesday, Dec. 26 from 5 to 7 pm at Boardman-Smith Funeral Chapel. Funeral Service will be Thursday, Dec. 27 at 11:00 am at the funeral Chapel. Interment to follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Douglas Ave. United Methodist Church.
