

Norma “Jean “ Judd, 74, of Springfield died at 10:50 p.m. Wednesday, January 21, 2004 at St. John’s Hospital. Jean was born September 7, 1929 in Carlinville, Illinois, the daughter of Herbert Lake and Stella Mae Castelle Gordon. She married Vernon Lee Judd in 1946 and he preceded her in death on February 28, 1997. Jean retired as a supervisor from the State of Illinois Secretary of State’s office. She also had been employed at Sangamo Electric and was the manager of Fabricland. She was a member of Springfield Craft & Ceramics Club, Candy Cane Craft Club and a past member of the Eagles Auxiliary. She was also preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by one son: Nickie F. Judd of Springfield, three daughters: Vickie (husband, Glenn) Maisenbacher of Springfield , Kathy (husband, Martin)Roland of Cape Coral, FL and Diana (husband, Roy) Lawson of Hohenwald, TN, three grandchildren: Jessica Roland of New York, Sam Roland of Ft. Myers, FL and Damon Judd of Springfield, one great grandson: Justin Roland of Ft. Myers, FL and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends may call from 5 – 8:00 p.m. Monday, January 26, 2004 at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home. Cremation will follow with burial in Camp Butler National Cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Ronald McDonald House of Central Illinois, 610 N. 7th St., Springfield, IL 62702-5329. The family of Norma Jean Judd is being served by Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home and Cremation Tribute Center, 900 S. 6th St. Springfield.
