

Norman J. Marek, 62, of Chatham, passed away at 11:23 a.m. on Tuesday, January 22, 2019, at his home. Norman was born on August 8, 1956, in Chicago, the son of William B. and Erna M. Marek. Norman earned his masters degree in Geology from Northern Illinois University and was employed with the State of Illinois, Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity for 25 years. He was a member of Chatham Ducks Unlimited for 25 years and a lifetime member of the Left-Handers Gun Club. Norman enjoyed hunting, duck hunting, gun collecting, and spending time with his friends when he was able. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Evelyn I. Kosche. He is survived by nieces and nephews, William (wife, Kathy) Kosche of Tinley Park, Henry (wife, Valerie) Kosche, Jr. of Orland Park, Robert (wife, Gabrielle) Kosche of New Lenox, and Amy (husband, Michael) Perry of Manhattan, IL; brother-in-law, Henry Kosche Sr. of Channahon, IL; four great-nieces; and two great-nephews. Cremation was accorded by Butler Cremation Tribute Center - Chatham prior to ceremonies.
