Olethea F. Kent, 83, of Springfield, died at 8:00 p.m. on April 9, 2006 at Sangamon Care Center. Olethea was born on November 13, 1922 in Jefferson City, MO, the daughter of Jas and Nora Smith Scott. She sewed draperies in the drapery department for Sears from 1972 until her retirement in 1998. Olethea also worked for Mohn Custom Interiors making draperies, Roth Greeting Cards and wrote service manuals during WW II. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers: Roy Scott and Clarence Dann and two sisters: Edith Scott and Leola Scott. She is survived by one son: Brian Kent of Springfield and one niece and one nephew. Family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Friday, April 14, 2006 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. Cremation will be accorded following the visitation by the Cremation Tribute Center, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield The family of Olethea F.
