Oliver L. "Chill" Young

Chill was born on January 6, 1945 in Millsprings, KY, the son of Albert and Emma McDaniel Young.

Chill worked in cabinetry and also did tree work. He enjoyed fishing and playing the guitar.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Rebecca Young; his parents; first wife, Sandra Young; and siblings, Linda Sherman, Lena Arthur, Doris Tucker, James Young, Mary Ruth Young, Charles Young, and Maudie Creighton.

He is survived by his daughter, Debra (companion, Douglas Willhoit) of Springfield; six grandchildren, Rich (wife, Liz), Travis, Mason, Janice (companion, Lonnie), Jessica, and Charlie; nine siblings, Betty Lehan of Virginia, IL, Forrest (companion, Stacy Brown) Young of Tallula, IL, Tim (wife, Connie) Young of Springfield, Judy (husband, Jim) Miller of Ashland, Margie (husband, Paul) Harris of Ashland, Albert (companion, Heidi Hill) Young of Springfield, Angela Young of Ashland, Richard Young of Tallula, and Rhonda Joerger of Rochester; several great-grandchildren; former spouse, Jeannie Matthews of St. Louis, MO; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation and Funeral Ceremony: Family will receive friends from 10:00 until 10:45 a.m. on Monday, July 22, 2019 at Butler Funeral Home—Springfield, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. A Funeral Ceremony will be held at 11:00 a.m. with Celebrant Judy Woerner officiating. Burial will follow at Farmers Point Cemetery.
