

Pamela was born August 9, 1946, in Springfield, IL, the daughter of William and Jacqueline (Hay) Kolaz.
Pamela was a proud graduate of Ursuline Academy, class of 1964. She devoted many years to being a homemaker, lovingly caring for her family and creating a warm, welcoming home. After her children were raised, she began her first professional role at Walgreens, a chapter she embraced with pride and independence. Pam loved spending time with her family and friends. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Pam had a deep love for animals and was known as an amazing cook whose meals brought people together. Her kindness, dedication, and many talents will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Jacqueline; and husband, Kenneth Fitzgerald, Sr.
Pamela is survived by her children, Kenneth (Tammi) Fitzgerald of Springfield, William E. “Bill” (Maureen) Fitzgerald of Centerville, OH, and Anthony “Tony” (Kimberly) Fitzgerald of Riverton, IL; six grandchildren, Colman (Mikenzie) Fitzgerald, Katie, Kelsey, Haley, Kennedy (Andrew) Cassman, and Allie; four great grandchildren, Brody, Colman Jr., Bernadette, David and one on the way; one brother, Anthony Kolaz of Kentucky; two sisters, Sandy Lancaster of Springfield, IL and Donna Schaddel of Petersburg, IL; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Cremation will be provided by Butler Cremation Tribute Center.
A private family graveside ceremony will be held at a later date at Wolf Creek Cemetery.
