

Pamela Sue LaBelle, 69, of Springfield, passed away on March 5, 2025 at her residence. She was born on April 18, 1955 in Ottawa, Illinois to Gerald Olson and Rebecca Miller Olson. Pamela married Edward (Ted) LaBelle in Springfield on August 30, 1986 and he survives.
Pamela (Pam) LaBelle is also survived by her children: Kathryn Beth Amidon (Joel), Kristin Jane Amenson (Andrew), Timothy James Schowalter (Renee), Allison LaBelle DiLiberto (Tony), Genevieve Marie LaBelle (Scott Roth) and Julia LaBelle Daniels (Mark), siblings: Randall Gerald Olson (Betsy), Ronald Paul Olson, Marcia Beth Mifflin (Mark), Gayle Rebecca Wenger (deceased) and Linda Marie Evensen (Kevin), grandchildren: Noah Jared Amidon, Annabelle Kristin Amidon, Jackson Olson Amidon, Henry Thomas Amenson, Abigail Kathryn Amenson, Tessa Marie Balagna, Dakota Jackson Balagna, Nova Leigh Schowalter, Milo Timothy Schowalter, Caroline Vivian DiLiberto, Logan James DiLiberto, Jude Lincoln DiLiberto, Edward Patrick Daniels, Charlotte Joy Daniels and Eleanor June Daniels as well as one great grandchild Fern Elizabeth Fry and many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
Pam received her Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design from Southern Illinois University. She did interior planning for St. Mary’s Hospital in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and the first daycare facility for children of the employees at St. Mary’s Hospital. After moving to Springfield, Pam was a Project Manager for the Capital Development Board for the State of Illinois from 1985 to 1988.

She found joy in life’s simple pleasures and treasured the traditions she built with her loved ones. Her love language was in the details and she had a knack for making everyday moments feel special. Her home is a reflection of her warmth and creativity, filled with sentimental touches and the echoes of cherished memories. And in all things, she loved her people—fiercely, unconditionally and with a heart that made a house a home.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Monday March 10, 2025 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 2477 West Washington Street in Springfield. The family will greet friends from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm Sunday March 9, 2025 at Bisch Funeral Home West, 2931 Koke Mill Road. An additional visitation will be held on Monday from 9:30 am until the time of service at St. John’s Lutheran. A private burial will take place at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
