

Patricia Rose Hartman, 69, of Springfield, died at 7:02 a.m. on Monday, January 27, 2014 at St. John's Hospital. Patricia was born July 23, 1944 in Springfield, the daughter of Edward and Josephine Clifford Norris. She married Richard Hartman on October 2, 1965; they later divorced. Patricia was a graduate of Ursuline Academy and then went to Michael Reese Hospital in Chicago for nursing school. She was a member of Church of the Little Flower and ran a daycare. Patricia enjoyed reading, crocheting and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Jim, John and Kenneth Norris; and five sisters, Margaret Treat, Bernadine Norris, Mary Jo Knudson, Marilyn Brown and Dorothy Cox. She is survived by five sons, Ahren (Terri) of Chicago, Michael (Kris) of Atlanta, Paul (Chris) of Cedar Rapids, IA, Stephen (Elizabeth) of Springfield, and Matthew (Heather) Hartman of Auburn; eight grandchildren; one sister, Kathleen VanLeer of Springfield; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Cremation was accorded by Butler Cremation Tribute Center prior to ceremonies. Memorial Gathering and Funeral Mass: Family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral mass at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 1, 2014 at Church of the Little Flower, 800 Stevenson Dr., Springfield, with Rev. Msgr. John R. Ossola celebrant. Burial to follow at McKinnie Cemetery.
