Pat has been my daughter, Bobbi's best and close friend for many years. She shared in many of our family celebrations over the years. She is like a family member, we will all miss her terribly. We will pray for kristy that she will find peace in knowing her mother is no longer in pain and now rest with God. Margie (Bobbi's Mom)

I met my future to be wife Patty in 1980 in New Berlin, IL. In Oct. of 1985 we had Kristi as our only child we love so very much together. During our marriage we shared many things together. We both loved our Firebirds cars, her's was yellow and mine was brown and gold. We both enjoyed going to rock concerts together and traveling in the Midwest for auto racing and being with my family in Chicago. With Kristi we traveled for fun weekend trips to the Dells and Six Flags. Pat my so loved former wife is a great lady and one of a kind. She taught our daughter grace, love, and how to enjoy life to the fullest. She was a true beliver in God and trusted God to always be with her in her life. I will miss her and had told her not to worry I would look after Kristi and she should know we are praying for her every day and in the end of her life here we will always remember the the family times we had as well as the seperated times we shared with Kristi. I will miss her dearly and she will always be close to me in my heart. I know she is with her Mother & Father in Heaven and is with God who made such a wonderful person to be here for the time she had to share with all of us.

Um...Ex-Wifes... When I arrived from New York in 1993, it seemed everyone I spoke with had their opinion about ex-wifes, (mostly negative) I am happy to report in my case this was not true. I could never quite understand how you were able to form a negative opinion about someone if you never met them. I liked Pat the first time I met her, she had a little "NY Spunk" in her. When Bob and I were to be married, I explained to this shy little six year old named Kristi, that just because I was marring her Dad, I was not there to replace her Mom. (She had only one Mother and that was Patricia) I was just an "Added Bonus". Pat and I shared many conversations, I loved to make her laugh, especially when we would sit on the sofa and compare chest sizes!! I will always admire Pat for her strenght, and willingness to never give up the fight. I will miss this little lady I use to fondly call "Patrish". God"s Blessing dear friend.

I went to New Berlin High School with Patty. She was so much fun. We always had a ball riding around with her in that aqua blue chevy that she drove. I ran into her several years after we were out of school and she told me that she had moved to Chatham to raise her daughter in a better environment. She was always a strong and decisive person. I worked with Pat for the past 13 years. She was a real role model for me. I hope to endure hardships with a sense of humor and a positive attitude the way that Pat did. I have never seen someone go through what she did and continue to come to work without complaint. She left a lasting impression on me and everyone that knew her. I am a better person for having known her. We will miss her very much.

I am blessed to have been able to call the woman that I will always know and love as Patty Jean Elmore "friend." During our high school years, we spent time competing for the best tan, hanging out at her Curran home listening to the Guess Who, and eating the best homemade noodles made by her Mom. After graduation we took our very first flight and vacationed in Florida with a great visit to the new Disney World. Later, we spent long hours discussing the strategies of genealogical research that we both love. It was evident she was tired when she called me a few weeks ago. For almost an hour she talked about the effects of the disease and some of the ways her body was responding, ways that many of us would never be able to withstand. But, Patty was strong and retained as much enthusiasm and grace as she could under the stress. I will miss her terribly.

Kristi and I met in 3rd grade and have been best friends ever since. I spent countless nights at her house and went on a couple of Cancun trips with them. She was like a second mother to me. Pat was diagnosed with Breast Cancer when Kristi and I were in the 8th grade. I watched her battle this and can honestly say I never heard her make a complaint. She never felt sorry for herself and didn't want anyone to feel sorry for her. Pat was the strongest women I have ever known in my life and I feel privilaged to have known her. I know that she is in heaven on a beach with her parents and chico looking down on us. I will miss her sense of humor and great advice.

Pat was one of the most remarkable women I have ever know. She faced adversity bravely and gave freely of her time and compassion. I am a better person for having known Pat.

Dearest Kristi, family & friends: I was blessed enough to have met Pat several times while visiting JJ and Bob. I found her to be a compassionate and fun loving lady. She was loved by all who knew her & will be terribly missed. We can take some consolation knowing that she is at peace and wrapped in the arms of the Lord. Kristi, your mom will always be near you to watch over and protect you and everytime you hear her favorite song or notice her favorite flower, you will know that she has stopped by to let you know that she is there with you. Be blessed always.

I don't know where to begin...I just found out that this dear lady had passed away. It's been about 15 years since we were last in touch. She was such a good friend and I was going through such a bad time in my life. I think of her often and would wonder about her and how she was. Pat was truely a lovely person to know and be around. I spent one of those Cancun trips with her...the first one. We had the best time. I'll always remember how good of a friend she was to me, and just hope that I can be that to someone else. Thank you Pat. And, may God bless you for all that you were to so many peoples lives that you touched. Your friend always...Mary.

Your cousin Patricia Duncan and I wish to extend our condolences to her family.Pat never complained about her illness and we talked about the different treatments we were going through. She has no pain now and is at peace with the Lord

When I went to work at HFS, Pat was our unit secretary. I quickly found out just WHO ran the unit. Patty kept us all on schedule and in line with a humor and a toughness that was not unbecoming. She was a true lady in all senses of the word. Patty's quick, ready smile and quick laugh always brought a smile to everyone's face. Patty's great sense of humor, compassion and willingness to listen to all of our troubles and yet still maintain order in a sea of kaos is a great testament to the wonderful, caring person she was. With Patty, what you saw is what you got - there was no artifice, no falseness to her. I am blessed for having known and worked with her and definitely better for it. The best part though, was watching her beloved Kristi grow and blossom into a lovely young woman that Patty was ever so proud of! May God bless Kristi and Patty's family and may they be comforted by the fact that Patty was an inspiration to us all.

I'm thankful for having Patty as an aunt for nearly 30 years. She was always one to make us laugh and always had something kind to say. She had a good heart & a strong personality that helped her fight this cancer for 10 years. Her constant positive attitude and desire to beat this disease is just a small reminder of what a fighter she was. I am blessed to have had an aunt like her & she definitely will be missed. Kristi-our thoughts & prayers are with you. We love you so much.

Kristi, Your mom was one of the "greats"-great person, friend, daughter, sister, and especially mother. I trusted her judgement and let Laura spend many hours, days, and trips with the 2 of you. Laura loved your mom and so did we. I want you to always remember how much your mom loved you and she will find a way to let you know she is still close by. Kristi, Your mom was such a wonderful person and raised such a bright, beautiful girl. She will be missed by many. She will always be with you. Where to begin- Growing up in my home town,I spent many many days and weekends at my Grandma's and Grandpa's farm.I remember spending most of my time playing and spending time in Pats bedroom,looking at her many record colections,sitting at her vanity, brushing my hair with her brush and playing in her make-up,which Mom and Grandma would kindly remin d me that it wasn't mine. But what I am most reminded of about Pat while growing up an only child,she was always a great listener, never judgemental,and always my Special and Dearest Friend. Kristi I love you and I know Mom is so proud of you. You have her Quite courage and love for others. not to mention her great wit! I know that we shared numerous weekends laughing,watching some of her favorite movies, and the great fun we had all those vacations to Cancun! She is with us in all our memories,and will be missed so so much.This much I know,SHE IS FREE! SHE is in our Fathers arms. I will be forever honered, and greatful to God for letting me be her Niece, my Aunt,my sister, my Dearest friend. Until we meet again. Love Ya,Kim
