She was born on January 18, 1950, in Springfield, the daughter of Robert and Muriel (Shaw) Gatschenberger.
Patricia graduated from Little Flower Catholic School, and Springfield High School, and attended Robert Morris University. She went on to work at Memorial Medical Center in the computer software department, Horace Mann, and later at CSC (Corporation Service Company) as a computer technician. Patricia was a member of Sugar Creek United Methodist Church. She enjoyed hanging with her grandkids, crafting, and listening to oldies music. Patricia was sassy, fun, intelligent, kind, caring, loving, stubborn, and extremely proud of her two sons. Her relationship with her family and the staff that she had at Sunny Acres were very important to her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Jim Gatschenberger.
Patricia is survived by her sons, Matthew (Abby) Greenleaf of Springfield and Michael (Alex) Greenleaf of Bennington, VT; grandchildren, Dominic, Chloe, Augustin, Bennett, and Isabelle Greenleaf; and siblings, Tommy (Janet) Gatschenberger, Richard (Anna) Gatschenberger, Suzy (Ken) Hansen, and Jackie (Mark) Myers.
Cremation was provided prior to services.
Memorial Service and Visitation: 9:00 a.m. on Friday, May 31, 2024 at Boardman-Smith Funeral Home, 800 S. Grand Ave. W., Springfield. Visitation will follow until 12:00 p.m.
Burial will take place at Roselawn Memorial Park at a later date.
