

Patricia Ann Neuman, 79, of Chatham, passed away at 5:42 a.m. on Tuesday, January 1, 2019, at her home. Pat was born on July 14, 1939, in Pawnee, the daughter of Harry and Jennie Bryant Simpson, Sr. She married Jackie Jack C. Neuman on November 10, 1958, in Corinth, MS; he preceded her in death on July 10, 2002. Pat was in the first graduating class from Glenwood High School in 1957. She was an active member of the Home Extensions Club and the Sangamon County Home Extension. Pat loved sewing, crocheting, and making ceramics. She was also preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Richard and Robert Simpson; and sister, Linda Bush. She is survived by her sons, Gary (wife, Camille) Neuman of Springfield, Kevin (wife, Linda) Neuman of Murrayville, Mark (wife, Babette) Neuman of Williamsville, and Tim (wife, Robin) Neuman of Lebanon, IN; daughter, Brenda (husband, Dave) Hensen of Everett, WA; twelve grandchildren, Shelby and Shawn Hensen, Cassie VonDeBur, Kala Dudley, Erica , Zacharie,Jack, Avery, Olivia, Henry, Amanda, and Emily Neuman; great-grandchildren, Landon, Colin, Brinley, Maxton, Hunter, Oliver, Leona, Greta, and Jacob; and brother, Tom (wife, Mona) Simpson of Pawnee. Cremation was accorded by Butler Cremation Tribute Center Chatham prior to ceremonies. Memorial Ceremony: 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 5, 2019, at Staab Polk Memorial Home, 8855 State Route 4, Chatham. Burial will be at a later date in Chatham Memorial Cemetery.
