Patricia "Pat" Louise Dobey

Pat was born January 12, 1942, in Peoria, IL, the daughter of Donald E. and Alice Raisch Greenwood. She married Walter Edward “Ed” Dobey on June 24, 1972, in Lincoln, IL.

Pat earned her radiology certification from Blackburn and was employed as a nurse in private practice for 25 years. She loved horses.

One of Pat’s cherished traditions was her monthly luncheon with her Springfield High girlfriends. They were the core group from the Class of 1960 Reunion Committee and have remained friends all these years. She will be sadly missed by Joan, Lynda, Marilyn, Nancy, Penny, and Sue.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Pat is survived by her husband, Ed Dobey of Salisbury; son, Eric (Sara) Dobey of Springfield; daughter, Kara Cooper of Springfield; grandchildren, Marc Dobey of Salisbury, Jesse Cooper, Elliott Dobey, and Emmett Dobey of Springfield; and brother, Robert (Sharon) Greenwood of Sarasota, FL.

Visitation: Family will receive friends from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. on Monday, May 15, 2023, at Butler Funeral Home-Springfield, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield, IL.

Funeral Ceremony: 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at Butler Funeral Home-Springfield with Celebrant Judy Woerner officiating.

Graveside ceremony will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 17, 2023, at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
