He graduated from Griffin High School in 1984 where he played receiver for Cyclone football. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Geology from the University of St. Thomas (Saint Paul, MN) and was a wide receiver on the Tommie football team. Pat was employed as a financial planner with Merrill Lynch, National City Bank, and Morgan Stanley. He was an avid sailor and a member of the International Star Class Yacht Racing Association. Pat was a lifelong fan of the Minnesota Vikings and the University of Notre Dame “Fighting Irish.”
He was preceded in death by his mother. Pat was a known momma’s boy but never backed down from a fight. His fiery temperament and competitive spirit were directly passed down from his father. However, his most memorable trait was his sense of humor. Pat liked to laugh; he spent a lifetime searching for laughter. This drive was only eclipsed by his fondness of making other people laugh, whether by jokes, stories, impersonations, or malapropisms.
Pat is survived by his children, Dylan Londrigan of Champaign, and Victoria “Tori” Londrigan of Chicago; father, Thomas Londrigan, Sr. of Springfield; siblings, Joseph (Amanda) Londrigan, Tom (Betsy) Londrigan, Jr., and Genevieve Turner, all of Springfield; and nieces and nephews, Haley, Ali, Jack, William, and Kathryn Londrigan, Wesley (Kayla) Copelin, and Scarlett Turner.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Monday, January 30, 2023, at Butler Funeral Home - Springfield, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield, IL. The family will celebrate Pat’s life privately at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to sailing and football organizations: the Star Class Legacy Foundation, 2812 Canon St., San Diego, CA 92106 or the Sacred Heart-Griffin Football Program, 1200 W Washington St., Springfield, IL 62702.
Cremation was provided by Butler Cremation Tribute Center prior to ceremonies.
