

Paul E. Adami, 75, of New Berlin, passed away on November 25, 2025 at St. John’s Hospital. He was born on October 7, 1950 in Peoria, Illinois to Richard Adami and Dorothy Brock Adami. Paul married Jane Flatley and she survives.
Mr. Adami is also survived by two daughters: Mary (Nathan) Sunderland of Downs, IL. and Megan Adami of Owensboro, KY., four grandchildren: Kelly, Kristin, Katelyn and John Sunderland all of Downs, Il., one brother David (Marlene) Adami of McCordsville, IN., as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one sister Janice Adami and one brother George Alexander.
Paul grew up on the family farm in Washburn, Illinois. He graduated with honors from the University of Illinois-Champaign-Urbana with a Bachelor’s in 1972 and a Juris Doctor in 1975 receiving the prestigious Bronze Tablet Award. After graduation he clerked for one year for Judge Robert Morgan in the US District Court for the Southern District of Illinois, Peoria Division. He then went into private practice until his retirement from the law firm of Mohan, Alewelt, Prillaman and Adami.
Paul was a member of the Illinois Bar Association, Illini Country Club and the Evening Lions Club. He was an avid Illinois athletic fan for over fifty years especially football and men’s basketball. Friends joked that his blood ran orange and blue. Paul was a history buff particularly on Abraham Lincoln and the Civil War. He enjoyed golfing, working in the garden and traveling.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00am on Thursday December 4, 2025 at Bisch and Son Funeral Home, 505 East Allen Street. The family will greet friends from 10:00am until the time of service at Bisch and Son. A burial will take place at Oakwood Cemetery in Metamora, Illinois at a later date.
