Paul Welch, 88, of Springfield died Wednesday, October 19, 2005 at 4:05 p.m. at Lewis Memorial Christian Village. Paul was born November 7, 1916 in Springfield the son of Paul and Marijanne Razmo Wilcauskis. Mr. Welch was retired from his job as an elevator operator at the State Capitol Building. He was a former member of St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church He was preceded in death by four brothers: Bruno, Joe, Pete and Kostie Welch and one sister: Nancy Fisher. He is survived by three nieces: Mary Jo Welch of Springfield, Bernadette Riley of Crystal Lake, IL and Martina Wisniewski of Lansing, MI and two nephews: Alan Fisher and John Welch of Crystal Lake, IL. Cremation accorded by the Cremation Tribute Center. Memorial Mass will be at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, October 24, 2005 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St. Springfield with Rev. Eugene Weitzel, C.S.V. celebrant. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Petersburg, IL.
