She was born the daughter of Michael and Patricia (Quinlan) Coleantonio in Chicago, IL on June 3, 1958.
Peggy retired from UIC in the Division of Specialized Care for Children in Springfield in 2017.
She was an avid gardener, enjoying all varieties of flowers. She enjoyed swimming, going to lunch with friends and co-workers, and listening to music. She was a huge fan of Michael Jackson and Prince, but loved all contemporary style of music and was a dedicated listener of WDBR radio here in Springfield. She enjoyed going to the movies, especially those with Sylvester Stallone. Above all, her family was the most important to her. Spending time with her children and grandchildren brought her so much joy. She enjoyed visiting with her brother and sisters. She cared deeply for her mother and felt a great loss when her father passed away in 2017.
She is survived by her mother, Patricia of Huntley, IL; her two children: Tyler (Katie) Kastner of Middleton, WI and Tasha (Adam) Shade of Springfield; her precious grandchildren: Elin, Adeline, Ellis and Oliver Kastner, and Sienna and Leah Shade; her three sisters and one brother: Patty (Clifford) Tarpley of Huntley, IL, Michael Coleantonio of Clearwater, FL, Pam Katnik of Sycamore, IL, and Paula (Steve) Frederiksen of Carpentersville, IL; her dear friend Brenda Cox and several nieces and nephews.
A public visitation will be held at Paul's Paradise located at 12430 IL State Route 125 Pleasant Plains, IL on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. A private celebration of life will be held later with Pastor Ed Ingram officiating. Cremation Rites will be accorded by the Bisch Crematory, Springfield, IL.
