Peggy A. Roach

Peggy A. Roach, 69, of Springfield, formerly of Canton, passed away on Monday January 19, 2015 at her residence. She was born on January 25, 1945 in Norris, IL., to John and Pansy Phillips Grigsby. She married Daniel Roach on October 12, 1979 in Lewistown, IL., and he survives.

Mrs. Roach is also survived by one daughter Christine (companion Mark Brown) West of Longmont, CO., two sons: Joseph (Stacey) Stacy of Lewistown, and Daniel Roach of Springfield, five grandchildren: Jesse Hobbs and Hope and Faith Stacy all of Peoria, and Gabriella and A.J. Stacy both of Lewistown and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters: Mary McCance, Charles Grigsby, Dorothy Tinsdale, and Harold “Bill”, Jack, Fred, Marshall, and Carroll Grigsby.

Peggy liked the outdoors and gardening. She enjoyed gambling and taking trips to Vegas to play the slots and she loved the St. Louis Cardinals and listening to Bob Seger.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00am on Friday January 23, 2015 at Bisch Funeral Home West, 2931 Koke Mill Road and graveside service will follow at White Chapel Memory Gardens in Canton, IL., at 1:00pm. The family will meet friends from 4:00-8:00pm Thursday at Bisch West.
