Priscilla A. Cody

Priscilla was born on March 7, 1940, in Du Bois, PA, the daughter of Lorenzo S. and Sara A. Madden Ditty. She spent 55 years with her childhood sweetheart and love of her life, Albert Alan Cody, Sr.; he preceded her in death on May 23, 2021.

Priscilla earned her GED from the Universal Career College. She worked for over 30 years with Springfield Public Health and Safety as a secretary before retiring. Priscilla volunteered with Americore at Wanless Grade School. She was a spectator of stockcar and NASCAR racing, loved all animals, especially horses and was an avid gardener with amazing green thumb.

She was also preceded in death by her son, Albert A. Cody, Jr.; her parents; and daughter-in-law, Barbara Cody.

She is survived by her children, Debi (Steve Ferrier) Cody of Springfield, Steve Cody of Springfield, Troy (Lynn Burris) Cody of Springfield, Todd (Sheryl) Cody of Sherman, and Deidre “Dee Dee” Dodd of Springfield; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Cremation was provided by Butler Cremation Tribute Center. The family will host a Celebration of Life and a Graveside Ceremony at a later date.
