Randall H "Randy" Lucas

Randy was born in Springfield, October 24, 1961 the son of Scott W. and Peggy R. (Unruh) Lucas Jr. His father and grandparents preceded him in death.

Randy was a graduate of Lanphier High School, Class of 1980 and a 1983 graduate of Oakland City University, Oakland City, IN.

He married Teresa “Terri” Driver in Springfield, March 27, 1985 and she survives.

Also surviving are his three children: Randall H. (Christie) Lucas II of Chatham, IL, Lyndsie (Matthew) Kennedy and Laura ( Bernhard "Toby") Yager both of Springfield. He has five grandchildren: Vivian and Lydia Lucas, Addison, Payton and Emerson Kennedy. Also is his mother, Peggy (William Evans) Lucas of Springfield, his three siblings: Kimberly D. (Mark Bott) Lucas, Scott W. (Jan Kelso) Lucas III, and Bradley A (Kym Wycoff) Lucas, all of Springfield. There are several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and a host of family and friends.

Randy was a small businesses owner. He was a member of Chatham Baptist Church. Randy was an avid Chicago Cubs and Bears fan and enjoyed traveling, especially to Pensacola, FL. Above all, he found his greatest joy spending time with his family, friends, and was a proud grandpa.

Family and friends are invited to a time of visitation Thursday, January 30, 2025 at Chatham Baptist Church 1500 E. Walnut St. Chatham, IL 62629 beginning at 9:00 until the time of funeral service at 11:00 am. Pastor Jerry Weber will officiate. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Springfield.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to St. Jude Hospital or Shriner’s Hospital for Children.
