Ray H. Sherman, 54, of Springfield, died at 2:32 p.m. Monday, January 26, 2004. Ray was born April 8, 1949 in Chicago the son of Roland and Virginia Lund Sherman. Dr. Sherman had received his Bachelor of Science in Dentistry and Doctor of Dental Surgery both with honors from the University of Illinois. He began his career in dentistry in 1978 and owned and operated Ray H. Sherman, DDS since 1983. He was also a Life Member of the Sigma Nu Fraternity. He was preceded in death by his parents He is survived by one brother: Dale E. Sherman of Raleigh, NC and several cousins. A Memorial Services will be at 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 18, 2004 at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home with Scott Brindley officiating. Sherman is being served by Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home and Cremation Tribute Center, 900 S. 6th St. Springfield.
