Raymond G. Hansen

He was born in Menard County, September 18, 1919 the son of Andrew and Esther Hansen. He married Normalee Loss Atkinson, July 3, 1948 and she preceded him in death December 16, 1984. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Christine Cantrall, November 2006, a sister, Helen Walter and his brothers; Marius, Elmer, and Robert.

He served his country in the U.S. Army Corp in Alaska and the worked and retired from the Illinois Air National Guard at Capitol Airport in Springfield.

Raymond is survived by his son, James (wife Mary) Hansen, his daughter, Lynn Hansen, both of Springfield, his grandchildren; April Elder, Samantha Elder, and Michael (wife Brandy) Hansen all of Springfield, Kathryn Hansen of Coon Rapids, MN and one great grandchild, Landon Elder-Cleaver. There are several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 9:30 am Friday, October 25, 2013 in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Springfield. The Inter-Veterans Burial Detail of Sangamon County will conduct military honors at the graveside.
