Raymond Dr. Pearson

He was born December 12, 1916 in Urbana, the son of Frank and Amelia Feldkamp Pearson. On July 4, 1948 he married Dr. Ann Martin in Springfield.

Dr. Pearson spent most of most of his early life in Ithaca, New York where his father was a professor at Cornell University. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University in Ithaca and then continued at Cornell University in New York City where he received his medical degree. He did his residency in New York where he met his wife Ann. They then moved to Springfield where he practiced medicine for 45 years till he retired.

Dr. Pearson was a US Navy Veteran of WWII. He was a member of the First Congregational Church and Illini Country Club.

He is survived by his wife, Ann Pearson of Springfield; a son, William Raymond (wife, Sarah) Pearson of Charlottesville, VA; two daughters, Susan Thrasher of Bloomington, IN, and Laura (husband, Gerald) Harris of Vienna, VA; three granddaughters and one grandson.

A memorial Service will be held on Monday, December 18, 2006 at 3:00 p.m. at First Congregational Church. Dr. Brian Damrow will officiate. Arrangements have been entrusted to Boardman-Smith Funeral Chapel.
