

Raymond L. 'Guy' Robinson, 66, of Springfield died at 10:22 a.m. on Friday, January 28, 2005 at his residence. Raymond was born on May 3, 1938 in Jacksonville, the son of Lee Edward and Marie Tozer Robinson. He married Mary Rose Barlow on June 30, 1962 in Springfield. He was a U.S. Army Veteran serving during the Korean Conflict. Raymond was employed as a fabricator for Long Elevator in Riverton since 1970, retiring in 1994. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers: George and Howard Robinson; one sister: Eloise Massie Jones and mother-in-law: Angeline Barlow. He is survived by his wife: Mary Rose Robinson of Springfield; one son: Kenny (wife, Kathy) Robinson of Springfield; three daughters: Robin (husband, Warren) Stubbs of Springfield, Lori (husband, Tim) Wanless of Illiopolis, Linda (husband, Paul) Roth of Springfield; thirteen grandchildren: Derek (wife, Candi) Stubbs, Eric Stubbs, Christopher Stubbs, Nicholas Stubbs, Joshua Wanless, Jessica Wanless, Dillion Wanless, Chad Wanless, Adam Robinson, Tyler Roth, Quincy Roth, Brandon Roth, Hanni Roth; two great grandchildren: Skylar and Abigail Stubbs; one sister: Donna (husband, Tom) Faucon of Mechanicsburg; one brother: Warren (wife, Ann) Robinson of Springfield and several nieces, nephews and cousins. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Monday, January 31, 2005 at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St. Springfield. Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 1, 2005 at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home with Rev. Donald Meehling officiating. Burial will follow in Camp Butler National Cemetery where the Interveterans Burial Detail will conduct military honors.
