Rebecca Suzanne Schneider

She was born in Springfield on December 12, 1957, the daughter of Donald Amos and Mary Alice (McCann) Kelly. She married Gerald Duane Schneider on February 28, 1975, in Springfield.

Rebecca attended Springfield High School. She went on to work as a coordinator at St. John’s Hospital for 30 years and was also with Springfield Memorial Hospital for 10 years. Rebecca also ran her own restaurant, Fairlane Diner of Sherman, for 7 years. She enjoyed shopping, organizing parties or family gatherings, traveling, wine, and listening to music. Rebecca was the most loving and selfless person; she was the perfect grandmother and loved spending time with her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sons, Phil Laski and Gerald Schneider, Jr.; sisters, Loretta Schneider and Rose Knappmeyer; and brothers, Donald and John Kelly.

Rebecca is survived by her husband, Gerald Schneider, Sr.; daughters, Dixie (Jake) Hill and Jessica (Cory) Formea; daughter-in-law, Sally Schneider; grandchildren, Scott, Shelby, Kaylie, Jackson, Elliott, Grace, Marshall, Beau, William, Carter, Elleina, Emelia; siblings, Cheryl Lopez, Steve Kelly, and Tim Kelly; and great-grandchild, Raelyn Laski.

Funeral Ceremony and Visitation: Ceremony will begin at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 27, 2025, at Butler Funeral Home- Springfield, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. Visitation will follow from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

Cremation was provided by Butler Cremation Tribute Center.
