

He was born in Chicago, January 8, 1943 the son of Otto and Betty Borman Kramer. He married Marianne Kobos, May 15, 1965 and she preceded him in death December 18, 2005. He was also preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers; Karl and Jesse, and a sister Betty Glomski.
Richard retired in 1998 from the State of Illinois Department of Transportation where he was the Chief Chemist. He was a member of Christ the King Parrish in Springfield. He enjoyed bowling and shooting pool and was a member of various leagues. He was an avid gardener and landscaping artist by hobby. Richard enjoyed the challenge of growing vegetation and flowers. He was well known as a good cook and especially enjoyed grilling, year round.
Surviving are his children; Alice (husband Zeno) Staemmer of Zürich, Switzerland, Wendy Kramer of Pensacola, FL, Cindy (husband Jim) Pincenti of Norridge, IL, Kathy Kramer of Springfield, IL, Peter (wife Juliann) Kramer of Plainfield, IL, and Mark Kramer of Norridge, IL. There are 3 grandchildren; Natalya Staemmer, Andrew and Sara Kramer, his sister; Anna Hartzell of Pittsburgh, PA and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Arrangements are under the direction of Bisch Funeral Home West 2931 S. Koke Mill Rd where a prayer service will be at 4:00 pm Wednesday, December 19, 2012 with visitation following until 7:00 pm Wednesday. Additional visitation will be Friday, December 21, 2012 at the Montclair-Lucania Funeral Home 6901 W. Belmont Ave. Chicago, IL from 3-8 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be at Our Lady Mother of the Church 8747 W. Lawrence Ave, Chicago, IL at 11:00 am Saturday, December 22, 2012 with burial following in St. Adalberts Cemetery, Niles, IL.
