Rita H. Kugler

She was born November 29, 1927 in New Athens, IL and was the daughter of Albert and Martha Lischer. She married Donald P. Kugler on August 26, 1950. He preceded her in death.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, and two sisters.

She is survived by two daughters, Karen (Jim) Grady of New Orleans, LA and Janet Ulm of Springfield, IL; three grandchildren, Daniel Ulm, Kristy Ulm, and Andrew Ulm, all of Springfield, IL; one great-grandson, Brayden Ulm of Springfield, IL; and one sister, Evelyn Lannert of Freeburg, IL.

Rita worked as a secretary at Springfield Southeast High School and was a member of First Congregational Church.

Cremation will be accorded by Butler Cremation Tribute Center.

Memorial Gathering and Ceremony: Family will receive friends from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 19, 2016 at Boardman-Smith Funeral Home, 800 S. Grand Ave. West, Springfield, IL. Ceremony will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Dan Dexter officiating.

Burial will be held at Oak Ridge Cemetery following the ceremonies.
