Robert "Bob" Lally

Bob was born on May 12, 1948, in Philadelphia, PA, the son of Robert Lally, Sr. and Rose Hoffman Lally. He married Ellen Rhoades on June 19, 1970, at the Valley Forge Hospital Army Chapel.

Bob grew up in Philadelphia and attended LaSalle College. He was drafted and proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and was a hospital medic during the Vietnam War. Bob worked for Barber-Colman Company and retired from Blue Cross Blue Shield where he was a Facility Manager. He enjoyed model trains, reading, traveling, especially to Jamaica, and was a soccer coach in his younger days. Bob had an infectious laugh and was a generous man who loved his family. He will be dearly missed.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents; brother, David Lally; and grandson, Rowan Robert.

He is survived by his wife, Ellen of Springfield; daughter, Julie (Jeff) Zilinsky of Pace, FL; son, Douglas (Amy) Lally of Springfield; grandchildren, Owen Zilinsky, Declan and Aria Lally, and Chloe and Carson Franks; and sisters, Debra Lally and Beth Roberts, both of PA.

Private family ceremonies will be held.
