

Robert “Bob” L. Frainer, 71, of Springfield, passed away at 2:15 p.m., Wednesday, September 10, 2003 at his daughter’s residence. He was born February 20, 1932 the son of Leonard and Dorothy Hughes Frainer in New Berlin. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son: Mark, and a brother: Leonard, Jr. Mr. Frainer was a Tech Sergeant in the United States Air Force for 21 years serving during Vietnam and was awarded the Air Force Commendation Medal Second Oak Leaf Cluster. Later he then worked at Dawson’s retiring in 1987. He attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church for many years and was a member of the Eagles Aerie 437, and the Bergen’s Men’s Golf Club. He also enjoyed watching racing and spending time with his family. Mr. Frainer is survived by his two daughters: Kathy (husband, Warren) Jennings and Teresa Bruce both of Springfield, seven grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, a sister: Mary Patricia (husband, Dale) Osborne of Lincoln, a companion: Betty Mussatt of Springfield, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Friends may call at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home from 4-7:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 14, 2003. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, September 15, 2003 at Camp Butler National Cemetery with Rev. Donald Meehling officiating. The Interveteran’s Burial Detail of Sangamon County will perform military honors. The family of Robert “Bob” L.
